Introduction

I suppose I could offer some sage advice about backpacking to make you ponder the wonders of the backcountry or perhaps proffer some witty expressions about my backcountry experiences to bring a smile to your face.  But, nah.  The pages in this collection offer lots of good tips to help you make the most of your backpacking experiences so you don't need me to repeat them here and I have no sense of humor (honestly, ask any of my Scouts).
